“You cant prove that,” he retorted, lifting those eyes just enough to look at him, hiding behind folded arms on his knees. “I dont… I’ve never had to deal with these kinds of feelings before but what else is it supposed to be?” He swallowed hard, trying not to clench his jaw too tight lest he cut the inside of his mouth with those teeth of his.
“I hate seeing you flirt with other people — I like it when it’s just you and me. I dont care if you tease me, or even when you blackmailed me into kissing you—” While he’d put up a fuss before, he’d soon come to realize that he didnt mind it so much. That Aubrey was devoting attention to him when he did this sort of thing. He waited to see if and when Aubrey was going to kiss him again, or lean on him again.
“I’ve been trying to figure these feelings out but the more I Think on them the more confused I get.”
“Well, that’s just—”
Aubrey stopped his words again. He placed his hands over his eyes, making a sound of frustration. He avoided looking at Logan in the eyes. He’s been confessed to before. It was exactly like that. Everything that Logan said was exactly like how those others would say. The boy hated to admit that it all sounded so genuine. But it honestly didn’t make much sense to him. Why him? Out of all the good people in the world that Logan could have, Aubrey had to be one of the worst.
“You don’t like me, Logan. You can’t like me…I mean—” He made a sound of frustration again. While he been confessed to before, he found it hard to actually deny the other. He could it to those others just fine, but when it was with Logan…it was different. And did he really want to turn him down? Logan meant a lot more to him than others, but that didn’t necessary mean he liked him, did it? Aubrey shook his head, not knowing what to say.
“It’s not like…You probably just feel grateful for me helping you and giving you a place to live. That doesn’t necessarily mean that you like me.”

These feelings were Aubrey’s fault. Sure he teased him, but it wasnt in the same cruel manner that scared him off. He poked his fun, rather than be overly kind to him. He had kissed him too - that was another fault. Not only that but he defended him against his mother, even when she’d pulled a knife on them. Logan still recalled that day, how Aubrey said he wasnt going to let Logan leave anymore — and even though it had terrified him, he stayed.
“It’s your fault —” He’d recoiled back to his telepathy, his throat already aching, making him want to avoid using his voice any more than he already had. He slumped against the wall, sliding down into a crouch.
“So what if I’m jealous? I — you never asked before if any of this bothered me. I…” He knew there was no taking it back if he admitted to these feelings. Whether he was over-reacting to what he’d seen or not. If he didnt say it now, things wouldnt change, and there was the chance something like this could happen again. “…I think I like you, Aubrey — it’s your fault that I do. Teasing me and kissing me — and then this? Just kick me out already if this is how it’s going to continue.”
Aubrey gave a short grin. “Yeah…of course it’s my fault…” He didn’t say what he wanted to say. That it was his fault because he was a large screw up. He did the wrong things because he didn’t think he acted. He was just so lucky to make it this far without killing himself. But he wasn’t going to let Logan see that side of him. That self-doubting side. He hated it, so he hid it when possible. He rubbed his eyes, feeling a wave of weariness wash over him. Then a cold splash of shock woke him up completely.
‘What?’ Aubrey’s eyes widened. His head turned to the blonde who had moved into a near fetal position against the wall. Did he hear him right? Like him? Like what? What did he mean? Was he actually jealous? This just made Aubrey’s headache and confusion increase tenfold.
“You…like me?…You think you like like me? What the hell, Logan?!” Not knowing how to react, he only managed to make himself more angry and had no outlet for it other than shouting. He took a deep breath, trying to ease his anger. Once he spoke again, he was much calmer. “You…don’t like me, Logan.”

Why did he care? This didnt make much sense at all to him either. He was upset, that much was obvious. He knew it was triggered by seeing the blonde woman with Aubrey. Why was he talking about him being kept around? Well for one thing Aubrey should have had the curtsey to send Logan an email telling him not to be home for a while if he was going to do shit like that in the living room. But no, maybe it was because he felt like he didnt really have a place living with Aubrey if he was just going to bring home whores to entertain himself with.
After all, Logan was just a freeloader at this point. He didn’t pay rent, didnt have a job, Aubrey was supporting him, and he was doing nothing about it.
But none of that had to do with the matter at hand. Logan had basically figured out why seeing Aubrey with someone else bothered him like that. Logan wanted… did he want to fill that role?
He shrunk back, unsure of what to say. But he’d gotten Aubrey’s attention now, he was sure that the other probably wouldnt let him get away with just retreating to his room. “Why bring them home if you have me here?” his voice shook, already weak as it was from it’s lack of use. Already with so few words his throat was hurting, “Why have them when —” He shook his head, hands balling into fists at his hides.
Aubrey rubbed his head. He already had a headache. As he tried to think of a plausible reason that Logan was generally so angry, he managed to find his shirt. He slipped it over his head, pulling it down over his head. He mussed his hair, trying to clear his thoughts. It didn’t help as much as he wanted them to.
“That’s entirely stupid. What I do with them and what I do with you is entirely different. I fuck them, not you. Why do you sound like—”
‘You’re jealous….’ Aubrey paused and stopped. That didn’t…It couldn’t be possible. Logan sounded jealous. But that was entirely impossible. Aubrey couldn’t comprehend it. If Logan was jealous, then it meant that he actually had feelings for Aubrey. More than the playful friendliness that they were used to. Something deeper. But that was improbable. Aubrey belittled, poked fun at, and made fun of the other blonde so much. Aubrey was still surprised he said yes to him.
“Sound like…your jealous…” Finally completing the sentence, Aubrey looked down, clenching his fists by his side. He finally just made a noise of frustration. He moved back and sat on the sofa, holding his head.
“You’re confusing me. What do you want from me, Logan? Why exactly are you so mad?”

Logan turned form the hit of the pillow to the back of his head. His arm had swung around, fingers barely catching it before it hit the ground. His other hand reached up, tearing his mask off and clutching it tight in his hand. What did he care since the whore was gone? Though what would have surprised him if he thought about it at the time was just about to happen. He chucked the pillow back at Aubrey, not caring if he missed or not.
“Yeah well you never tried to make a show of it by fucking them in the living room before,” His voice was a bit hoarse, not having been used in so long, but there it was. Words coming from his actual mouth, rather than his ability. “Why did you even invite me to live with you if you can just keep yourself entertained with people like them, huh? Why go through the trouble?”
Why be kind enough to offer him a home, a real bed, warm blankets, some place for him to come back to? Because it was amusing to keep a freak around, to have a monster in the house like some sort of pet? Grei was right, Aubrey could easily find someone else to entertain him. He was an idiot to even think for a second that it was just him.
Aubrey tsked under his breath. He was right of course. Even if Aubrey had brought along his little ‘friends,’ he always made show that the other was either gone or that they were in his room when they did their activities. Logan never witnessed it like he did then. Even still…Aubrey wasn’t ready to admit defeat. He moved away sluggishly as the pillow was aimed at him again. He glared at the other. Had it been any other moment, he would have probably been enjoyed to actually hear the other’s voice for once. But he was angry at the second so he overlooked it.
“What the hell does that have to do with this? Okay, so I bring a couple of people over. What does that have to do with you staying here?” It could be the alcohol fuzzing his brain, but he couldn’t put two and two together. The people that Aubrey brought in and the fact that Logan was living with him, they didn’t collide at all. Entertain? It as different…Different. Logan was different.
Aubrey shook his head. “You’re not making sense? What does this have to do with you? Those people are just quick things. You’re…you’re not like that….WHY DO YOU CARE?” Everything was making him so confused. Logan should just say what was bothering him and get it over with it.

He’d heard her cry in pain, and that seemed to shake him. In his jealous rage he’d actually hurt her with such a strong influence. Or was that not just telepathy. He’d had episodes with telekinesis, he wouldn’t be surprised if he had the ability buried deep down where he couldn’t quite control it yet. Hearing his name pass the other’s lips, he grabbed the nearest thing (which happened to be a pillow, thank goodness) and threw it at him, aiming for his face.
“What the hell, Aubrey?” he snapped. No, he needed to calm down, he knew he did. This hadnt been the first time Aubrey had brought someone home with him. So why? Why was he reacting like this now of all times? Why was he so jealous of seeing that… that woman with him this time?
Maybe because she was blonde?
One of the lights in the house burst from the loose control of his abilities he had in this mood. Logan flinched away from it, pressing the heels of his palms against closed eyelids. “A Little warning would have been nice, Jerk.” No, that was an excuse. Logan was putting the pieces together somewhat, and that made him even more reluctant to even stay in the same room as the other. He turned, making to lock himself in his room—
‘I have to remember that Logan has those type of powers…’ He always managed to forget somehow that Logan did those type of things. He supposed that the other blonde wouldn’t mind that Aubrey forget one of the things that made Aubrey think that he was a ‘monster’ in the first place. But, whenever he did remember, it always had to do with the one using it. Like in this instance. He felt that her leaving had more to do with the embarrassment of being caught in such a situation.
“Oi~!” Blinking at the pillow striking his face, it didn’t take long for Aubrey to get angry himself. He told the other that things tended to get like this. And it wasn’t like this was the first time he brought home a ‘guest.’ It was just the first time that Logan had discovered him. He pulled the pillow from his face, glaring at the other. He gave a small flinch as one of the lights broke, casting them in half light. It could be the alcohol in his system, but he was ready to argue with the other over this issue. He had been cheated out of one good night because he couldn’t take something that was so natural.
Aubrey stood, still half way dressed. He wasn’t going to allow the other walk away as if this was his fault. The blonde grabbed the pillow tossed at him and threw it at the back of the other’s head.
“Shut up! Don’t call me a jerk for doing what any growing teenager would do! Besides, you didn’t care if I brought others before.”

Logan had been out late. Actually, he’d been out all day, really. He was still getting used to using the elevator, so if he went outside, he usually stayed out as long as he could before mustering the courage to go back up. He’d gone back to his usual haunt, and ended up stargazing when it started getting dark. He didnt know how long he’d been out there, but once he realized it was getting late, he figured it might be better if he headed back home before Aubrey started sending him spam messages on his phone to come back for one reason or another.
Of course, as he walked back… it became a bit odd as to why he hadnt gotten any text from Aubrey for… well almost the whole day. He shrugged it off as a pleasant accident, choosing to enjoy the thought of no harassing messages through the day as he arrived at the building they lived in. Lucky for him at such an hour it meant the elevator was empty. As he fished for his keys, he paused at the door, hearing noises inside. Aubrey must be home, but —
He pushed the door open, leaving it open behind him as he walked straight in. His hand brushed the wall, flipping the lights on and —
Aubrey hadn’t come home alone. He’d returned with a woman and they were… In any other circumstance, Logan would have flipped the lights off, apologized and ran out, leaving them to… their fun. But something sparked in Logan and he grew jealous. His hands fisted at his sides as he took another few steps forward. ” O U T.” he demanded of the woman, forcing the influence in her head at an unnecessary high level. “Get o u t. N o w.”
‘I don’t like blondes, but I’m with a blonde. Why? Why? Why aren’t I paying more attention to this nameless girl?’ Right. He shouldn’t be thinking so hard when he was trying to be with this female. He could say that it’s been awhile, but he was still young. And if this female’s moans was right, he was doing the right thing. It became more of a habit than anything to him to make sure his partner received some pleasure out of this. He didn’t have to think about that. He just needed to feel and do hat he felt was right. ‘It’s because I’m with that guy all the time.’
Strange. Why did he think of Logan at a time like this? Stranger and stranger. The brown eyes narrowed some. He really wasn’t seeing the female in front of him, but was drowning himself in blurry thoughts. It didn’t last long. Aubrey blinked as the world suddenly became brighter. He squinted his eyes, sheilding them from the sudden light. “W—what…”
Turning his head, he managed to see the shocked look on Logan’s face. ‘Well, what a coincidence…’ Aubrey knew it was a bad thing that the other saw him like this. But he reasoned that the other would just run away and he’ll be able to deal with it in the morning. He was wrong. Jumping in surprise, Aubrey’s eyes widened at the woman seemed to move as if hit by something harsh and gave a short scream of pain. He couldn’t look her in the eyes, as she suddenly jumped off of him. Collecting her clothes, she instantly ran out of the room, slamming the door behind her.
Aubrey took a few deep breaths, not moving from his sprawled position on the sofa or looking the other in the eyes. His shirt was off and his pants were unbuttoned. The blonde placed a hand to his pounding headache. Was it possible to have a hangover while still being drunk? And this all happened because….”Logan.”

It was a scene that Aubrey was far too familiar with. He had seen the blonde female before she had seen him. She was one of better looking ones he had seen in his regular club. The night was getting late and he had already downed a few bottles. Even in his muddled up state, he managed to know that she was a looker and he would be a fool to try to actually leave without her. Even still, he had a minute’s worth of doubt within him. It never happened before. Whenever he saw someone worthy of coming home with him, he didn’t hesitate. If he hesitated, someone else would get him. Yet, for this one, Aubrey actually paused and thought of the pros and the cons of going with her. He didn’t think too long before he took another cup of his alcoholic drink and they were swapping kisses as they both stumbled drunkenly out of the club.
Aubrey didn’t catch her name, but he didn’t care. She was petite, cute, and ready to fulfill their nightly desires, but nothing more. Things he as always looked for in these nightly escapades. He hadn’t had a reason to actually say no to her. Not one…At least, he didn’t think so. Not one for thinking too much, the blonde kissed the blonde female deeply as they giggled and stumbled out of the elevator of his home.
“Sshhhh, babe! Don’t want to wake the neighbors, do we?”
The giggle that Aubrey received after his comment was like the other giggles he received from other woman. He kissed the female more as he fished for his keys to the apartment. It sounded so…annoying at the second, that he would rather have her quiet. In the back of his mind, something was nagging him. Telling him that it wasn’t a good idea, but he was too much influenced by drinks and desire to actually pay attention to detail. They made it into the large home but couldn’t go farther than the sofa in the main room. Aubrey fell on his back while the female fell on top of them. They were a mess of giggles and quick, sloppy kisses as clothes begin to fly off. Aubrey hummed under his breath, staring up at the blonde that was sitting on top of him and kissing him.
‘Strange….I don’t usually go for blondes…..’
